SaguitCaboMargarita.jpgMcFoodie was created in July 2006 by "Head Chef" Saguit Saad with the help and support of her husband and "Sous-Chef", Albert.

Saguit was a music attorney at several prominent New York entertainment law firms including Epstein Levinsohn Bodine Hurwitz & Weinstein, LLP, Davis Shapiro Lewit Montone & Hayes, LLP and Selverne Mandelbaum & Mintz, LLP, where she represented recording artists, record companies, artist managers, music publishers, record producers and music executives.

Saguit is a graduate of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law ('98) and has a Bachelor of Arts from Monmouth University ('95).

AlbCookingParty.jpg After having lived in Manhattan for 10 years, Saguit (a Jersey girl) and Albert (a native Montrealer and former media investment banker turned real estate developer) moved back to the Jersey Shore in 2004. Saguit and Albert are passionate about food, wine, music, family, travel, yoga, World Cup soccer and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

This site is a lot better than it otherwise would be thanks to these very special folks:

Ashmi Dang – My dear friend and mentor in all things tech and web-related. Her own entertainment site, screen*play, has been a true inspiration.

Stacey Wexler – A fellow foodie and a major contributor to the Montreal portion of this site.

McFoodie Meetup Group – For sharing my interest in food and dining.

My Lunch ClubRena, Taly, Melanie and the rest of the “girls” that give me an excuse to eat at lots of local restaurants.

My Mom – For instilling in me a passion to explore new places and always being willing to join me on a culinary adventure. (Of course, My Dad rocks too!)

My Husband, Albert – For thinking he hated avocados and coffee and giving them a second and third chance anyway... our palates have sure come a long way together.
