Are you a McFoodie? A McFoodie understands that a restaurant doesn't have to be expensive, exclusive or formal to be a delicious gourmet experience. That's not to say that we don't appreciate a five star establishment but we believe that a casual Tuesday night meal can sometimes be just as satisfying, if the restaurant is chosen carefully. McFoodie.com is here to help.

Here's how it works: Click on Restaurants to search an alphabetical list of local restaurants including editorial and uncensored reader reviews or else use our Search feature to search the site by type of cuisine (e.g., Italian, Thai, sushi, Mexican, etc.), restaurant feature (e.g., BYO, brunch, outside seating, late night, etc.) or any other search criteria. You can also click on McForum to read user opinions or leave your 2 cents on a variety of topics including Best New Restaurant, Most Overrated Restaurant and a bunch of others.

We're eating our way through Monmouth County so that you never have a bad meal again!

2. POST YOUR OWN RESTAURANT REVIEWS.  As someone that is passionate about food and dining, you have opinions about the restaurants you visit and those opinions can help us all make more informed restaurant decisions. Feel free to post your own comments or reviews in response to each restaurant’s main entry. 

If you don't see a restaurant listed, please let us know by posting your recommendation on the McForum (our online discussion board) or email us. 

(Montreal Users: Feel free to post comments and reviews for Montreal restaurants as well though it may take a day or two for them to appear on the site while we work out a glitch in the system.)

3. OUR MESSAGE BOARDS ARE NOW UP & RUNNING.  Check out the McForum (our online discussion board) to post your opinion on topics like Best Ethnic Restaurants and Most Overrated Restaurants as well as to tell us about new restaurant openings and post suggestions for McFoodie.

4. NEW FEATURE: McTUNES! If you love good music as much as you love good food, be sure to check out our newest feature, McTunes - soundtrack suggestions to accompany you while cooking or dining. For your convenience, each playlist includes links to iTunes so that you can download all or some of the songs on the playlists with just one click.

To contribute a playlist, please email us your suggested track listing and artist names (preferably 8 - 12 songs per playlist) as well as a title and recommended time to listen (for example, "Anna's Samba Beats - an upbeat mix for when you're cooking or eating a Brazilian feast"). For bonus points, feel free to include a recipe that goes with your playlist.
